Meet Ryan Hansen, O.D.

Dr. Hansen is a northern Illinois native who knew from a young age that he wanted to help people as an optometrist. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and went on to receive his medical training from the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 2017. After graduation, Dr. Hansen practiced in the Annapolis, Maryland area for 2 years. There he worked with patients of all ages with a focus on pediatrics.

He and his wife moved back home to better serve their community in 2019.

He has since worked extensively with patients of all ages with many conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, amblyopia, eye infections, dry eye, and keratoconus as well as many others. Dr. Hansen enjoys routine eye care as well through the fitting of contact lenses and glasses.

Dr. Hansen resides in Rockford with his wife Brittany, son Conrad, and cat Daisy. He enjoys cooking, reading, golf, and tennis.
